E-NEWS - 2012

Every card matters. So send yours today.

This month, you can send a holiday card that will change someone’s life. Have you sent yours?

In the past week, hundreds of JDI supporters have sent messages to survivors of prisoner rape. Each message is a lifeline, a bit of hope for those who need it most.

Right now, we need you to help us get even more holiday cards into the hands of survivors. We need your cards this week, so we can ensure that your compassionate words reach survivors in time for the holidays.

'You told me to remember that my life matters no matter where I lay my head at night.' Write your card: www.justdetention.org/words-of-hope

Will you help make sure that as many survivors as possible receive a few kind words during this season?

A simple message, even if it’s from a stranger, can make a survivor’s holiday special. But don’t take our word for it. Ca'Linda, a prisoner rape survivor who received a card last year, said it best: “You told me to remember that my life matters no matter where I lay my head at night."

This holiday season, use your words to send some hope behind bars. Every card you send will mean so much to a prisoner rape survivor -- not just today, but for the rest of that person’s life.
